Peter Campbell

Peter is a documentary filmmaker focusing on issues of cross- cultural understanding, sustainability, peace and relationships. He has traveled extensively with film projects in The Philippines, Uganda, Papua New Guinea, Costa Rica, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Croatia and The Czech Republic. Recently he was in Kenya documenting projects concerning water catchment, micro finance and flamingo habitat. Peter has worked in environmental and climate change educational projects with ACCESS Television, Environment Canada, The National Film Board of Canada, EKOS Communications, The Sierra Club of Canada, YouthInMedia and, as one of the founding members, The Gulf Islands Film and Television School.

The main goal of Peter’s work uses technology to facilitate people telling their stories to a larger constituency by tapping in to modern distribution avenues.

A graduate of Ryerson University, Peter currently serves on the Boards of The Documentary Organization of Canada and, as a founding member, the Victoria Film Producers Association.

Peter is an avid kayaker, photographer, percussionist and Uncle.
