Lorraine is a freelance international development consultant specializing in the area of social exclusion with a special focus on situations faced by disabled people in developing countries. She worked as a community development advisor for eight years in the East African countries of Uganda and Tanzania but for the past eight years her disability and development work has involved traveling extensively throughout sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and South-East Asia from her home base in the UK.
