The Kesho Trust

In Canada, our operation is supported by members of the board of directors and our advisors. We do not have paid staff support at this time. Resources permitting our priorities are on communications, fundraising, financial management and general administration.

In Tanzania we are represented by Emmanuel Ole Kileli, Executive Director. Project staff are added as project activity warrants.

Emmanuel is a Maasai from Elerai in central Tanzania. He started a community based organization, Ereto Maasai Youth (EMAYO), in his home community that worked to improve the lives of the people of his people. EMAYO was the original partner of the Kesho Trust and the organizations continue to collaborate. Through the relationship with the Kesho Trust, Emmanuel toured Canada after graduation from high school and went on to complete his Masters degree at the University of Victoria through our I-CAN research program. His research work was done in the Maasai communities of Ngorongoro District. On completion of his degree Emmanuel returned to Tanzania and now coordinates the axtvities of the Kesho Trust as the Executive Director.
