Site

The site is on the all weather road between Mandera [on the DSM – Arusha highway] and Saadani villages approximately 5 kms before the entry gate to Saadani National Park [see location map below]. 

The land itself is a 100 acre parcel jointly held by the Kesho Trust and SANA under an agreement with the village of Mkange for purposes of building and operating the centre.  The parcel borders the south side of the main road and is part of the village lands dedicated to conservation.

The primary feature of the site are hills that offer excellent views over the landscape in virtually every direction, especially eastward over the park to the Indian Ocean.  Some photos from the site are included below.
