On Friday, 4th July 2025, the Kesho Trust Tz board members, Peter Millanga, Emmanuel Ole Kileli, and Julius Daniel Paringo, met with visiting Canadian board member Bruce Downie, at the organisation’s office in Arusha to review recent activities. Discussion focussed on progress of the SCMIKC project as well as other ongoing initiatives. Broader organizational issues were also discussed such as strengthening of the board and the need to increase the number of members to improve organisational efficiency and ensure diverse gender representation.
The board also agreed to strengthen communications and public engagement by ensuring regular updates through newsletters and social media, to make certain that the organisation’s work is visible and its impacts are broadened. As a follow up to the board meeting, Julius and Bruce had a productive discussion on the strategies to achieve this aspiration.
