Thank You, Karen

April 17, 2026

We are extending our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Karen Clyde following her recent retirement from the board of the Kesho Trust after 18 years of dedicated service. Karen first joined in 2008 and actively participated in many project activities of the organization in both Tanzania and Canada. Her initial involvement was with the PAPR project working with the international team from Ghana / Canada / Tanzania in villages around Saadani National Park and at the College of African Wildlife Management. She returned a number of times to the Saadani area with the PECC project, assisting in workshops of the village research committees and then again hosting a visit by International Tourism funded through our IUCN project. She was also involved with the site selection and creation of Kihembe and poverty research undertaken in villages surrounding Saadani. Always a positive and appreciated contributor, Karen was well liked by all she met within the organization (staff and volunteers) and beyond and was a marvellous representative of the organization.

Thanks so much, Karen, for the many years of service. from all the staff and volunteers with the Kesho Trust
