In late November, the Kesho Trust organized activities in Enguserosambu and Elerai to enhance water supply infrastructure. These efforts were part of the SCMICK project, which aimed to mobilize the community to address the negative impacts of climate change. The initiative built on an earlier community action plans to conserve water sources, emphasizing improvements to existing water supply infrastructure.
The activities included indoor meetings with village and community leaders, as well as site visits. During these visits, the team identified water sources in need of infrastructure upgrades, such as in Elerai, and areas requiring rainwater harvesting equipment, like in Enguserosambu. Following the site visits, the team held indoor planning meetings to determine the necessary actions to address these challenges. The strategy placed the community at the center of implementation, with Kesho Trust providing support through interventions such as the supply of water tanks.
